Text books:
-
Medleau L, Hnilica KA. Small Animal Dermatology : a Color atlas and Therapeutic guide.
W.B. Saunders Co., Philadelphia, 2001.
This color atlas includes most of the common diseases and current therapies. It can serve as a good general reference or a companion to the following text book.
I like this book, although I am biased since it is mine.
-
Scott DW, Miller WH Jr, Griffin CG. Muller and Kirk's Small Animal Dermatology, 6th edition.
W.B. Saunders Co., Philadelphia, 2000.
This is the most all inclusive text for small animal dermatology; however, it is not a user-friendly text for formulating a differential/rule out list.
-
Griffin CE, Kwochka KW, MacDonald JM. Current Veterinary Dermatology. The Science and Art of Therapy.
Mosby-Year Book, Baltimore, 1993.
This text gives a good working review of common diseases including differentials and therapies. A good text but not all-inclusive.
-
Reedy LM, Miller WH Jr., Willemse T. Allergic Skin Diseases of Dogs and Cats, 2nd edition.
W.B. Saunders Co., Philadelphia, 1997.
An excellent allergy text for a more in-depth understanding.
Currently one of the better color atlas for images but lacks therapies.
Good overall text with good images and treatments included
-
Wilkinson GT, Harvey RG. Color Atlas of Small Animal Dermatology. A Guide to Diagnosis, 2nd edition.
Mosby-Wolfe, Baltimore, 1994.
Good color atlas but lacks therapies.
